“The role of jets: from supernovae to clusters of galaxies”

Abstract:

The role of jets in regulating processes via a negative feedback mechanism in different astrophysical objects will be discussed. These include explosion of massive stars, shaping of planetary nebulae, heating gas in clusters of galaxies, and determining the mass of supermassive black hole at the center of galaxies.
