Conference Theme

The conference will investigate aspects of the complex relationship between translators and authorsIn view of ongoing research and new theories on the sociocultural role of translation and translators/interpeters

on the translator's habitus, on the death of the Author, new/old questions arise as to the sometimes ambivalent and ever complex relationship

real or imaginary, physical or symbolic, between translator and the author/s he/she translates. Researchers from various countries

will examine these and several other issues

The three keynote speakers will be:
